Engr. Oyedele Hakeem Alao Commends Yoruba Monarchs, Welcomes Sunday Igboho Home From Exile
Ibadan, Nigeria — A chieftain of the APC and a former guber candidate Engr. Oyedele Hakeem Alao has expressed deep appreciation and commendation to prominent Yoruba traditional rulers for their pivotal roles in facilitating the return of Chief Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, from years of exile.
In a statement issued on Monday, Engr. Alao specifically lauded the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi (Ojaja II), the Olugbon of Orile-Igbon, Oba Francis Olushola Alao, and other respected monarchs across the South-West for their wisdom, leadership, and commitment to peace and justice.
According to him, the successful intervention of the traditional rulers once again underscores the enduring relevance of Yoruba institutions in conflict resolution, advocacy, and the protection of the collective interest of the people.
Engr. Alao also extended a warm welcome and heartfelt congratulations to Sunday Igboho on his return to Nigeria, describing the development as a moment of relief, reconciliation, and renewed hope for many supporters and well-wishers.
“This is a time for healing, unity, and forward-looking engagement. I congratulate Chief Sunday Igboho on his safe return and encourage all stakeholders to embrace peace and dialogue in the interest of regional and national stability,” he stated.
He further called on Nigerians to see the development as an opportunity to strengthen unity, promote lawful engagement, and foster mutual respect among all parties.
