Nigeria’s Minister of Power, Joseph Tegbe, has commended key power sector agencies for what he described as significant strides in strengthening the nation’s electricity infrastructure.

The minister gave the commendation while reviewing ongoing developments in the electricity sector, noting that the combined efforts of the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC), and the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) have led to noticeable improvements in power transmission, generation support, and electricity distribution in several parts of the country.

According to Tegbe, the successful delivery of critical infrastructure projects by the three institutions underscores the Federal Government’s commitment to providing Nigerians with a more reliable and efficient power supply. He emphasized that sustained investments in transmission lines, substations, and distribution networks remain vital to driving economic growth and industrial development.

The minister added that the progress recorded by the agencies reflects the administration’s determination to tackle long-standing challenges in the power sector and expand access to stable electricity for more communities nationwide.

He further urged all stakeholders to sustain the momentum by prioritizing innovation, improving operational efficiency, and strengthening collaboration aimed at better service delivery and enhanced customer satisfaction.

Tegbe reaffirmed the Federal Government’s resolve to continue supporting initiatives that will expand power infrastructure, improve grid stability, and accelerate Nigeria’s economic transformation through a dependable electricity supply.
