My dear father, Obj, if truly you believe you’re getting close to your departure the best option left to you now is to start redistributing all the wealth you’ve acquired through Nigeria before it’s too late.
The truth is that none of this wealth will follow you to wherever you are going. I may be wrong though, but I have never for once heard of you doing give away to people, not even those that are very close to you.
Instead of giving you will rather acquire. The smoke behind the otta farmland is still flaring. The library at Abeokuta is not cleared yet. Nepa turn around funds of $16b is still shrouded in mystery. Even your vice, the marathon contestant, said you people could have handled the money better.
Meanwhile, the Buhari you alluded to his inefficiency neither attempted third term agenda nor abducted a sitting Governor in a democracy. And between you (OBJ) and Buhari, trust Ladoja will carefully choose his friend.
So instead of lamenting over the sorry state of Nigeria, concentrate more on how to restitute for your contributions to Nigeria’s doldrums. Charity is a very powerful weapon to woo God.
That is the only option left to you sir. Because it will take Nigeria another 25 years to get back on sound footing if Asiwaju courageously keeps steady with his reform strategies and provided he gets a good successor.
It will take an extraordinary grace from God for you and I to witness that. Even if you do, the mental strength to perceive the change objectively may no longer be there. If at your prime you never saw anything good in others, how then will you see such in 25 years time?
