Minaret University Ikirun Receives Official License To Operate From Federal Government

In a milestone achievement for the educational sector and the Muslim community in Nigeria, Minaret University Ikirun has been officially licensed to operate as a full-fledged university. The license was formally presented by the Honourable Minister of Education, Dr. Alausa, at the National Universities Commission (NUC) headquarters in Abuja.

Representing Minaret University Ikirun at the historic ceremony was Amir, Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at Nigeria and Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in Nigeria, Alhaji (Barr.) Abdul Azeez Alatoye, who received the license on behalf of the university’s founding body.

The presentation marks a significant step in the realization of Minaret University’s mission to provide quality education rooted in moral values, intellectual growth, and service to humanity. Founded under the auspices of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at Nigeria, the university is set to become a hub for academic excellence and character development in Nigeria and beyond.

Speaking after receiving the license, Alhaji (Barr.) Abdul Azeez Alatoye expressed gratitude to the Federal Government and NUC, stating, “This is a monumental day for the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community and for the future of education in Nigeria. Minaret University stands on the pillars of truth, service, and scholarship, and we are committed to upholding these ideals for the benefit of all.”

Minaret University Ikirun is scheduled to commence academic activities in the upcoming academic session, offering a diverse range of programs in science, technology, arts, and social sciences.
