Fubara Dismisses Claims of Losing Rivers Primaries Over ADC Support, Calls Allegations Baseless

Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has strongly refuted claims that he lost out during the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) primaries in the state because of his alleged support for the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Reacting to the reports, Fubara described the narrative as false, misleading, and a deliberate attempt to distort facts, insisting that he has remained committed to the PDP and its internal democratic processes.
The governor clarified that the outcomes of the party primaries were the result of collective decisions taken by party stakeholders and not influenced by any external political affiliation or hidden agenda. He stressed that claims linking him to the ADC were being peddled to create unnecessary tension and deepen political divisions in Rivers State.
Fubara further noted that he has no reason to undermine the party that brought him to power, adding that his focus remains on governance, stability, and delivering the dividends of democracy to the people of the state.
He urged party members and the general public to disregard what he termed “politically motivated propaganda,” warning that such misinformation could derail ongoing efforts to strengthen unity within the PDP in Rivers State.
The governor reaffirmed his loyalty to the party leadership and called for calm, dialogue, and maturity among political actors as preparations for future elections continue.
