Akinjide Congratulates Olubadan on Emergence as Chairman, Oyo State Council of Obas.

Honourable Akinjide Kazeem Akinola (AKA) has extended warm congratulations to the Olubadan of Ibadanland on his attainment as the Chairman of the Oyo State Council of Obas, describing the development as a fitting recognition of wisdom, seniority, and divine grace.
In a congratulatory statement issued through his media aide and made available to Jamisi News, Hon. Akinola hailed the Olubadan as a symbol of unity, stability, and enduring royal heritage, whose ascension to the chairmanship reflects the timeless values embedded in Ibadan’s unique traditional institution.
“Kabiyesi, your elevation to the chairmanship of the Oyo State Council of Obas is not only a celebration of royal seniority but a reaffirmation of history, patience, and destiny. The throne of Ibadan has always stood for order, inclusiveness, and wisdom, and your leadership at this time is divinely ordained,” he said.
Hon. Akinola noted that the rotational leadership arrangement among the Alaafin of Oyo, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, and the Soun of Ogbomosho represents the deep-rooted balance and mutual respect that have sustained peace among the major traditional institutions in Oyo State over the years.
He offered heartfelt prayers for the monarch, asking Almighty God to grant the Olubadan good health, long life, clarity of mind, and renewed strength to lead the council with fairness and foresight.
“May your reign as chairman usher in greater harmony among our royal fathers, deepen cooperation with government, and attract peace and progress to every corner of Oyo State. May your words be seasoned with wisdom and your decisions guided by truth,” Hon. Akinola prayed.
Akinola further commended Governor Seyi Makinde for sustaining respect for traditional institutions and preserving the rotational framework that promotes unity and equity within the Council of Obas.
He concluded by reaffirming his personal respect and loyalty to the throne, pledging continued support for initiatives that strengthen culture, peace, and development across the state.
“Kabiyesi o, may your crown know no sorrow, may your reign be long, and may Ibadanland and Oyo State prosper under your royal guidance,” the statement added.
