A Salute To The Shapers Of Tomorrow: Alao Celebrates Teachers’ Day”

As the world marks World Teachers’ Day today, October 5th, I, Engr. Oyedele Hakeem Alao, popularly known as Allow Alao, and a proud chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), join millions of Nigerians and global citizens in celebrating our teachers — the noble men and women who continue to shape the minds and destinies of generations.
Teachers are more than educators; they are mentors, counselors, and nation builders. From the first alphabets to life-changing lessons, their influence is profound and lifelong. The strength of any society lies in the quality of its education, and at the heart of that education is the selfless sacrifice and tireless effort of teachers.
On this special day, I extend my deepest appreciation to all teachers across Nigeria — from the rural classrooms in our villages to the bustling urban schools — who continue to light the path of knowledge even in the face of challenges.
As a political leader and a committed progressive, I strongly advocate for better welfare, improved infrastructure, and robust policies that uplift the teaching profession. The future of our great nation depends largely on how well we support and empower those who educate our children.
Let us all use this occasion to reflect on how we can honour, appreciate, and support our teachers more meaningfully — not just with words, but with action.
Happy Teachers’ Day to all our heroes in chalk and marker!
God bless our teachers.
God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
God bless the All Progressives Congress (APC).
