Tinubu Approves Posting of Four Ambassador-Designates

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the posting of four ambassador-designates from the list of 68 nominees earlier confirmed by the Senate in December.
According to a State House press release issued on Thursday by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President confirmed Ambassador Ayodele Oke as Nigeria’s ambassador-designate to France.
Also approved is the posting of Colonel Lateef Are as Nigeria’s ambassador-designate to the United States of America.
In the same development, Ambassador Amin Dalhatu, a former Nigerian ambassador to South Korea, was appointed as the High Commissioner-designate to the United Kingdom.
President Tinubu further approved the posting of Usman Isa Dakingari Suleiman, a former Governor of Kebbi State, as Nigeria’s ambassador-designate to Turkey.
The approvals come ahead of President Tinubu’s scheduled state visit to Turkey next week.
In a memo addressed to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the President directed the ministry to formally notify the governments of the four countries of the appointments, in line with established diplomatic procedures.
