Shock as 27-Year-Old Woman Dies Mysteriously at Boyfriend’s Home in Abuja, Lover Disappears
A 27-year-old woman, identified as Esther Akwaji, has reportedly collapsed and died under mysterious circumstances at her boyfriend’s residence in Dei-Dei, Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), sparking outrage and unanswered questions.
According to reports by SaharaReporters, the tragic incident occurred while Esther was eating with her boyfriend at his apartment. Shockingly, the man reportedly fled shortly after her death, and his identity remains unknown as of the time of filing this report.
Sources disclosed that Esther, a resident of Nasarawa State, had travelled to Abuja to visit family members. On January 21, she reportedly left her family home, telling relatives she was heading to a bank in Dei-Dei. She never returned.
Hours later, the family received a disturbing phone call from a man who identified himself as Esther’s boyfriend—using her mobile phone. He allegedly told the family that Esther had visited him and that he had bought food for them to eat.
According to the account, Esther suddenly began vomiting while they were eating. The boyfriend claimed he rushed her to Kubwa General Hospital, where medical personnel reportedly confirmed that she was dead on arrival.
The circumstances surrounding Esther’s death, coupled with the boyfriend’s disappearance, have raised serious concerns, with calls mounting for security agencies to immediately investigate the incident and track down the fleeing suspect.
As of press time, authorities were yet to issue an official statement on the matter.
