APC Will Reclaim Oyo And End PDP’s Deception – Alao Vows

A frontline governorship aspirant under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, Engr Oyedele Hakeem Alao, has declared with conviction that the APC will reclaim the reins of power in the state in 2027 and put an end to what he described as the era of deception and underperformance under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Speaking in a hard-hitting interview with Ja’misi Newsline on Sunday, Alao said the people of Oyo State have seen through the lies and propaganda of Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration and are now ready to return to the proven leadership and progressive governance of the APC.
“The PDP has failed Oyo State. Behind the façade of noise and media hype lies a government that has underdelivered on its promises. Come 2027, the APC will rise stronger, united, and backed by the will of the people to rescue Oyo from poor leadership and restore purposeful governance,” Alao declared.
Alao, who contested the 2019 gubernatorial election under the Alliance for Democracy (AD) and sought the APC ticket in 2023, described the current administration as a political accident that Oyo people will correct with their votes in 2027.
He added: “The APC built the modern foundation of Oyo State and we will complete what we started. No amount of political scheming or public relations stunts will save the PDP in the next election. The people are wiser and hungry for real leadership.”
Oyo State, once a stronghold of the APC, was lost to the PDP in 2019 when Governor Makinde emerged. But with growing dissatisfaction across the state, Alao said the APC is already regaining momentum and reconnecting with the grassroots ahead of the 2027 elections.
“We are coming with a clear vision, renewed energy, and a deep commitment to restoring Oyo’s lost glory. The PDP’s time is up,” Alao concluded.
