Alao Slams Speaker Adebo Ogundoyi,Says He Betrayed People Of Ibarapa Eruwa
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress APC Engr Oyedele Hakeem Alao(Allow Alao)has condemned the negligence of the speaker on the road project to Eruwa. He said,
The people of Ibarapa Eruwa are heartbroken and disillusioned by the continued neglect of the critical road leading into their community—a project awarded to Oyo State Speaker, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin, over a year ago but left uncompleted and abandoned.
Engr. Oyedele Hakeem Alao, popularly known as Allow Alao, has condemned this abandonment as a failure of leadership and a grave disappointment to the people of Eruwa. Speaking on behalf of concerned citizens and community leaders, The Asiwaju of Irokoland expressed deep concern over the state of the road and the silence that has followed its abandonment.
“This is not just a road; it is a lifeline for our people. For over a year, we have waited patiently, hoping that the son of our great icon, Pa Adeseun Ogundoyin, would follow in his father’s footsteps.
Unfortunately, what we have seen is a betrayal of trust,” Alao said.
He reminded the Speaker of the revered legacy left behind by Pa Adeseun Ogundoyin of blessed memory, a philanthropist and visionary who devoted his life to the development of his people. “We will never forget Baba. He was a man of the people, a leader whose legacy still lives in every corner of Ibarapa. We expected nothing less from his son,” Alao added.
To restore confidence and bring tangible development to the region, Engr. Alao strongly advised the Oyo State Government to terminate the existing road contract immediately.
He proposed a strategic re-award of the project to two competent contractors: one to begin work from the Eruwa end, and the other from the Ibadan-Ido end, ensuring rapid and effective completion.
“This is the only way forward. This project has dragged for too long, and the people deserve better. If Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin truly wants his peoples love, peace and to be welcomed home with open arms, he must act now and do what is right by his people,” Alao emphasized.
The people of Ibarapa are calling not just for accountability but for a return to the values of commitment, integrity, and selfless service—values that defined the late Pa Ogundoyin.
