Breaking News: Makinde Reshuffles Oyo Cabinet, Appoints New SSG

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has carried out a major shake-up in his cabinet, relieving the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Prof. Olanike Adeyemo, of her duties with immediate effect.
The development was disclosed in a statement issued on Monday in Ibadan, the state capital, by the Governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Sulaimon Olanrewaju.
According to the statement, Governor Makinde has appointed Prof. Musibau Babatunde as the new Secretary to the State Government.
In the same vein, the Governor approved the redeployment of Temilolu Ashamu from the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources to the Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning.
The reshuffle also saw the elevation of the Governor’s Senior Special Assistant on Public Works, Ademola Aderinto, who has been named a commissioner-designate and will be forwarded to the Oyo State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation.
Furthermore, Governor Makinde announced the appointment of Abiodun Adedoja as Special Adviser on Energy Security, while Kolawole Elijah Akanmu was named Senior Special Assistant on Budget and Economic Planning.
The cabinet changes, according to observers, signal a strategic repositioning of the Makinde administration as it moves to strengthen governance and policy delivery across key sectors of the state.
