PRESIDENT TINUBU CONGRATULATES OYEBAMIJI ON EMERGENCE AS OSUN APC GOVERNORSHIP CANDIDATE
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has warmly congratulated Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji on his emergence as the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, following the party’s primary election held on Saturday.
The President commended the Osun State chapter of the APC for the remarkable unity, maturity, and spirit of reconciliation that both preceded and defined the primary election, which was conducted through a peaceful and transparent process of affirmation.
President Tinubu also lauded the aspirants who selflessly stepped down in support of Asiwaju Oyebamiji, describing their actions as a powerful demonstration of party loyalty, statesmanship, and collective dedication to the progressive ideals of the APC.
The President urged the governorship candidate to be magnanimous in victory by reaching out to all party leaders, stakeholders, and former aspirants, emphasizing that inclusivity and cohesion are essential for building a strong and united front ahead of the 2026 governorship election.
“The journey to reclaim Osun State for the progressive family has begun,” President Tinubu stated. “I call on all members and leaders of the APC in Osun State to remain focused, united, and resolute. Victory is attainable, and together, we shall succeed.”
The APC primary election was chaired by Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, and held in Osogbo, the Osun State capital, where party delegates unanimously affirmed Asiwaju Oyebamiji as the party’s flag bearer.
