₦200 Million Boost For Tinubu 2027: SERHA Rallies South-East Support Behind Re-Election Bid

By Kola Oladeji

In a major political declaration, the South East Renewed Hope Agenda (SERHA), a prominent support group in Nigeria’s South-East region, has announced the allocation of ₦200 million towards the re-election bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027.

The announcement was made during the inauguration and empowerment ceremony of SERHA’s Imo State chapter held over the weekend. The event drew a large crowd of political stakeholders, traditional leaders, and enthusiastic party loyalists from across the region.

Hon. Belusochukwu Enwere, the National Coordinator of SERHA, made the official declaration while delivering a keynote address, stating that the ₦200 million fund would go towards the purchase of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential nomination form and to support campaign logistics.

“As ambassadors of the Renewed Hope Agenda, we are committed to the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027,” Enwere stated. “Today, we formally present a cheque of ₦200 million in support of this mission.”

Enwere praised President Tinubu’s performance so far, especially in infrastructure development, education reform, and inclusive governance. He emphasized the need to sustain and deepen these achievements, citing federal government projects that are already transforming the South-East.

A highlight of his speech was the mention of the recently approved $3 billion Eastern Rail Line project—described by Enwere as the most significant federal infrastructure investment in the history of the region. “This railway is a game-changer for the South-East. It will boost trade, reduce transportation costs, and address the long-standing feeling of marginalisation,” he asserted.

Enwere also applauded the establishment of the South East Development Commission (SEDC), which he said is strategically positioned to tackle regional issues such as erosion control, road rehabilitation, and economic development.

Paying homage to South-East icons such as the late Chief Sam Mbakwe and Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, Enwere acknowledged their legacies and called for continued unity and progressive leadership in the region. He further lauded the efforts of Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma, especially in implementing the 3R (Reconstruction, Rehabilitation, and Recovery) Agenda.

Looking ahead, Enwere announced that SERHA will begin a grassroots mobilisation tour across all 95 local government areas and 2,344 wards in the South-East starting in August, in a bid to galvanize support for Tinubu’s 2027 campaign.

“This is the turn of Southern Nigeria to complete our eight-year mandate. The people of the South-East are ready, and we will not relent in ensuring President Tinubu’s victory in 2027,” Enwere declared.

The event marks a significant political moment in the South-East, sending a strong message of loyalty and strategic alignment to the national leadership of the APC.
