Tinubu, Folarin Hold Strategic Closed-Door Meeting in Lagos

By Jamisi Newsline

The Renewed Hope Ambassador in Oyo State, Senator Teslim Folarin, on Thursday night held a high-level, closed-door meeting with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the President’s private residence in Ikoyi, Lagos.
Folarin, a three-term Senator who represented Oyo Central Senatorial District, remains one of the most influential political figures within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State and beyond.
His political journey—defined by resilience, loyalty, and strategic engagement—has continued to place him at the heart of the party’s evolving structure. Since his appointment as Renewed Hope Ambassador in Oyo State, a role closely aligned with the policy direction and political philosophy of the Tinubu administration, Folarin has played a pivotal role in stabilising internal party dynamics.
He is widely credited with driving reconciliation among previously divided factions within the Oyo APC, ushering in a renewed atmosphere of cohesion, trust, and strategic alignment. Party leaders, stakeholders, and grassroots mobilisers across tendencies have consistently acknowledged his role as a bridge-builder within the party.
Beyond internal consolidation, Folarin has also emerged as a key promoter of the Renewed Hope Agenda in Oyo State, actively mobilising support structures and strengthening political networks ahead of future electoral engagements.
Sources within the party indicate that the meeting with President Tinubu formed part of ongoing consultations aimed at consolidating party strength nationwide, with particular attention to strategically important states such as Oyo, where political realignments remain critical to the APC’s long-term prospects.
Political observers note that the President’s engagement with Folarin underscores a recognition of his growing influence and effectiveness, particularly in advancing party unity, governance advocacy, and electoral preparedness at the state level. It further signals the administration’s confidence in his capacity to sustain momentum for political mobilisation under the Renewed Hope banner.
